this question is so vague, its like asking what is eating like, what is dating like, what is sleeping like.....well University is like University......where you can have as much fun as you want...or study like a nerd if you are over obsessed with your career. |

From Germany to China universities are pretty similar. Nice places, with nice people where you can learn pretty useful stuff sometimes. What else do you want to know? |

A lot of it depends where you go really, plus it changes from year to year! I went to Nottingham Trent and in the first year you don't really have to work all that hard (your 1st year grades don't count towards your degree so as long as you get 40% to pass there's no problems) so you get a lot of time for sport, socialising, going out etc. Second year you have to work a lot harder, although I still got a fair bit of free time. A lot of my final year was spent pretty much locked in the library but it doesn't have to be that way, I just really wanted a decent degree whereas some of my mates still carried on going out 2-3 times a week and didn't get as a good a degree - that's part of it though, you have the opportunity and can make what you want of it. Either way you'll meet loads of cool people and do things you wouldn't necessarily get a chance to do otherwise :) |
