what's wrong with my iPod touch 2nd Gen?!?!

Hey, I have a question about my iPod touch. What's wrong with it?! It's like stuck in Recovery Mode, and I can get it into DFU mode sometimes, but it WON'T restore in iTunes. Either on my Mac or on my Windows XP machine. If I try to boot it up, every six seconds the screen will flash white and then back to the Apple Logo. I have no idea. I keep getting "restore error 9" in iTunes (yes I have troubleshot USB ports on both machines).

0	Yeah, the former owner had it jailbroken, but then I reset it last year to factory. Sold it to a friend, she had it for like 6 months, and then she gave it to me to try and fix this problem. I think he jail broke it with Redsn0w answered Jul 18 '11 at 12:58 LaPavoniMac 1●1●1●2
