I turned 16 this past Sunday, and I've been hitting the refresh button on plus.google.com all day, every day. My three friends that have Google+ are between 16-17. Why won't Google let me have a Plus account even though I am the age same age as my friends (even after numerous invites...which I am not asking for)? |
|
I'm 16 too, and I got a Google+ invite but it still says I'm too young. So who knows. |
|
I'm 14. And I got in. I'm pretty sure all my information was correct because this was sort of my "work" email address. |
|
Wait, some people tell the truth about there age online?!?! :| lol just put another age, what do you think the FBI is going to show up at your door for going on a site your not suppose to be on because of an age requirement? No. |

As per Google's TOS (although enforcement widely varies), you have to be 18 to partake in any Google beta or survey. You can of course +1 your real age a few times. They usually don't do anything to check. |

Your friends lied. You keep getting the "This feature is not available for your account" because you were truthful when setting up your account (like me). They lied, (a smart thing to do- in this case) so they got in when they got invites. Once Google sorts out all of the privacy issues and G+ leaves beta, everyone (13 or 14+ i think) will be able to sign up. |

I lied when I made my account for YouTube back in 2006 and it says I'm 40. I'm 19, though and it stumps me that Google doesn't let you change your birthdate. FaceBook and everywhere else does. |

I always lied about my age for that same reason.
Isn't that illegal?
If you are an adult and you put yourself younger for pedophilia and then yes...if you are a minor and lie about been older then no, as long as your itentions are not bad. I made myself 40 something one time when I was 16 in youtube to watch black metal music videos, because for some stupid reason some one flagged it.
I also never put real information on any site, as i don't trust the internet, common knowledge.
Agreed with Patxi.
