Since Lion has come out, I'd imagine that the Snow Leopard upgrade/retail dics aren't going to be on the market for long... I'm planning to get an older Macbook Pro with a Core Duo and just install 10.6 on it since I cannot run Lion... Should I just buy Snow Leopard now so I can have the upgrade disc for the later bought computer or will the DVDs be around for a while longer? |

Well looking on apples website it says that lion will have to be upgraded on the app store.. this also means that the apple store will not be flodding for the demand of lion. and so snow leopard will still probly be in stores till the have no more copies. But if theirs no apple store around try best buy elc. TO GET SNOW LEOPARD if none of those are available then theres EBAY.TO GET SNOW LEOPARD AND if nothing else works then try asking a friend with a make for their cd. ohh and heres the link to see lion can only be bought on the app store- http://www.apple.com/ca/macosx/how-to-buy/ Apparently you don't understand... A Macbook Pro with a Core Duo (not Core 2 Duo) physically cannot run Lion. It does not support 64-bit code. That is why I plan to stay with SL. ahh ok so then just read the first part but leave out the 250+ YES i did but i am saying to try all those i ideas to get snow leopard oh and i also answering your title |

I would get it whilst its still around. However I have a feeling it will continue to be on the shelves for a while yet... But better to be on the safe side :) |
