Alot of TV companies created their version of a Smart Tv. The biggest ones , sony , samsung & lg have Smart Tv's on they LED Tv's. So what is the best Smart Tv system?
Give-me your opinion . |

Based on my own experience and research I felt Samsung was best followed by LG. Sony, has always been a good company with good products but at times can be overpriced and underwhelming at times too. I like Samsungs current designs with the "frameless" tv. They've got some great apps and last I check have started putting built in wifi in there systems too, where other companies charge you for the wifi card and ofcourse it's their branded card, so it's an additional expense if you aren't going to hardwire it. |

Hi there, This recent report from Principled Technologies might help you make a decision. It favours Sony TV powered by the Intel Atom media processor above both Samsung and LG. http://principledtechnologies.com/clients/reports/Intel/Smart_TV_0711.pdf Paul Tapp |

I would recommend the LG Infinia 42LV5500
The only downside is that there are not too many apps. |

We bought a Samsung Smart TV last year. It's okay, it's 3D and stuff so a really good television. Plus the fact that it has outstanding HD quality. However, when it came to the "Smart" functionality we were a little unimpressed. We bought it because we wanted to watch catchup tv with services like iPlayer. We were told in the store that this TV would be great for it. We got it home and searched the app store and found no apps relating to TV catchup except for iPlayer. We then decided to use the in-built internet browser to go onto the catchup services and watch through there - apparently you can't do that either. My dad phoned Samsung and it was explained to him that you cannot watch catchup TV until there is dedicated applications to do so. They told him they were "working on other catchup applications" and they couldn't do anything until then. iPlayer works fine because there is an app but we cannot watch any other catchup TV until apps are released for them. I think this is something Samsung should have considered before selling the TV. |

Talking about the best Smart TV system is a bit complex but all the same, I think Sony and Samsung Smart TV are somehow expensive compared to that of LG Smart TV. Even though LG's Smart TV system may not have as many apps compared to the others, I believe one of its strong points is the Magic Motion Control that has brought in simplicity for users in the Smart World. |
