So I recently bought a lot of games on Steam. A few of these games (Specifically GTA4, Assassins Creed Brotherhood and Batman Arkham Asylum) won't let me save my game unless I'm online and logged into Microsoft Live Games or whatever the hell it's called. This is particularly annoying considering I bought them so I could use them offline in the first place. Is there a way to bypass it and still save the game? |

Just install the Games for Windows Live Client. Start the game. Before you select Start to begin playing, press your Home key and select a local profile. Create a local profile and you will then be able to save your games. You will still have to enter you CD Key for the games you own when you do this and for each game you purchased. |

Games that require you to have games for windows live installed, will require certain files from that service for them to launch or perform other vital functions. The games for windows live files them self are not truly needed for the game to run as if the requirements for those files are hex edited out of the game, the game will run fine without them, it is just microsoft's way of being annoying. Just make a offline profile and that will greatly reduce the annoyance (PS games that have multiplayer must have it installed and there is no way around it, you need to be signed in for multiplayer) |
