simple 555 timer ideas?

hi, I need to think of a circuit to create with a 555 timer for a class at university and i cannot think of anything. (egg timer and knight rider 'KITT' lights have already been taken.) Does anyone have any ideas? it cannot be too complicated please :)

You can use 555 timers to make audio modulated flyback transformers I have been planning to do this for a while but I have never gotten around to it, if you want to learn how to do it just type in audio modulated flyback transformer in either youtube or you can find plans online. You said you were in a university so I suppose its for a class there in which it can be slightly dangerous if you dont know what your doing if you decide to do this you most likely need to check with them first.
