Compaq Presario CQ62-219WM upgrade

I am wanting to upgrade my laptops CPU and im not sure if you can upgrade the CPU in a " Compaq Presario CQ62-219WM " Does anyone know if you can? If so, what do you think would be a "GOOD" CPU to upgrade to? As of now my laptop has a " Intel(R) Celeron(R) CPU 900 @ 2.20GHz (2200 MHz) " Thanks! :D

i have the same computer and cpu ...i just upgraded the cpu with intel T7250 or SLA49 ...intel core 2 duo mobile....2.00/2m/800mhz....478-pin-micro-FCPGA...WORKS GREAT !!!!

I've never been able to reach the CPU compartment on my Compaq laptop (which is long dead). I really don't think it's worth it. Sell it on Craigslist for like $150, and use that money to buy a better computer.

The only two things that will make your computer faster (that's easy to do) is upgrade your RAM, and use an SSD.

the laptop is not even a year old... and it cost me $367.40, i am not just going to sell it, if i cant upgrad the CPU i was just going to upgrade the RAM, does anyone have anymore help??? also thanks for trying to help Catchatyou! :D

i think your problem is that you bought an entry level computer with entry level performance, which isn't very good at all. celeron and pentium processors are for extremely budget level computers, as is the sempron amd processors. i'd recommend putting out the extra money for a laptop that's atleast 700 bucks. you're not gonna get good performance out of something that slow, at all. unless you buy an SSD, which will cost you an arm and a leg.
