Hello, My name is Justin O'Reilly. I am a sophomore in high-school from Gaithersburg, Maryland. I have an average family and i'm wondering if anyone out there could help me carve a career for myself by donating any old apple components that they no longer want/need it would really be appreciated.

I love to fiddle with wordpress and i create all sorts of cool graphics

I am asking the community this question because i am passionate about apple and their products and, I believe that helping others is always a great way to accomplish goals.

Someday I would love to be able to get a mac pro or imac to do some major video editing more then my macbook will ever be able to handle.

You can check out my blog at www.justinoreilly.com I write about random things as i see them in every day life.

hopefully someone in the community has some spare apple parts or just any little gadgets that i could review or tinker with to help me further my knowledge.

Thanks, Justin

I don't have a Mac but I do have some advice. If you offer repayment as part of the investment opportunity or ask for the person to loan it instead, you might get more responses than with simply asking for a computer. I wish you the best.

It's not a bad question in any way, it's just better to offer incentive.

i think the best place to look for this kind of thing would be Freecycle it's basically a place where people who have good usable stuff, or things that could still work but no longer need give them away for free rather than throw them away.

find the one in your area and keep an eye on listings, browse the 'offers' to see if anything that you might want comes up, or ask for stuff on there and someone eventually will email you if they have it.

but be warned, due to people abusing the system, some freecycle moderators are on the look out for people who are asking for High end expensive stuff because it clogs the system, and people who are just there to make some money by getting everything and selling it on, make your intentions clear in the wanted add or if you ask for the item.
