Damn Small Linux. I believe it installs with a UI. I think it was Debian.

Yeah it's an insanely small Debian distro. You can almost install it on a digital watch.

It's a long list, I saw it before, but it is a mix between "BIG" and small distros. I was wondering if someone here knew of some smaller Distros.

Well I'm not sure if anyone will mention any that are not in the list, but the smaller one's I've tried in there are

DSL,Feather,Puppy and SLAX. I'm pretty sure that any one of these will run on a Pentium 2 w/ 64 MB Ram, probably less.

I personally don't like distributions that give you the most barebones functionality possible. I like a little more of a user experience. I also don't like bloated operating systems that require a supercomputer to run. I prefer lightweight linux distributions like Lubuntu or Joli OS to get the job done.

I've been able to get Lubuntu to run on a 10 year old machine, and it ran pretty darn fast, so if you're looking for a lightweight distribution, I'd have to recommend Lubuntu. If you aren't looking for a distribution to run and just want to know the smallest distribution for knowledge, check out the article linked below.

Why not list the specs of that comp? The age doesn't give much indication.
