Would you be willing to swap the hard drive you have now for a solid state drive with a quarter of the capacity? I probably would because I would hook up another exteral drive for large files and use the ssd to system files and programs. |
It depends on the situation, if I only had a hard drive and I do video, not possible. If I was on my laptop and don't do a lit of heavy space work, possible. |
The way to do it is get a small SSD and put your operating system on it- then keep everything on a normal IHD and everything will run considerably faster. |
I would, if I had the money to invest in SSDs. |
I would, on my 500GB laptop HDD I am only using 53GB. So I don't have that many files. |
Well that would mean 80GB SSD. Yeah I'll still take it haha |
I could never do that... I do to much video and graphics work... Although If I could have my OS on one SSD then everything else on a HDD it would be fine. |
Too much video and photos. I wouldn't be able to do that. |
On my my main computers, yes. On my servers, just the OS hard drives, but not the storage RAID arrays. I already have 10K RPM HDs, so they aren't slow, but SSDs are nice and fast. |

I'm obsessed with a SINGLE neat and tidy drive which is @ least 2/3rds empty ik not praticalbut i'm obsessed |
