So, I am heavily considering getting Kaspersky. The reviews I've read are excellent and a lot of them make note on how it's better than Norton (my current AV). But there are a few questions I'd like to ask everyone:

1.) Is there really THAT much of a significance between PURE and Internet Security 2011? If so or if not, why would I want one over the other?

2.) How come Kaspersky's website advertises version 2012 but amazon only has up to 2011? Aren't they usually on top of things like that?

3.) How can Amazon sell it so cheap? I'm asking because it just feels like there's sort of a catch. Besides it not being the 2012 version, I can't think of anything. But a years behind? I'd give it like 35$-50$ considering how much the new versions are.

4.) And how long the the updates take to download. I don't feel like sitting through two to six hours of hell watching it slowly download but whoops!!?!? It timed out! Darn!

So yeah not too many to answer but a decent length. If you could answer all of these it would be a big help!

Thanks Everyone!

two. Retail box version of kaspersky 2012 is not out yet. they can do digital sales quickly

three. Buy in bulk and with rebates

four. Depending on your isp speeds, it takes like 5-15 minutes to download

  1. This shows the differences between PURE and Internet Security http://usa.kaspersky.com/products-services/home-computer-security/pure

  2. Amazon has not gotten the retail version of Kaspersky 2011 yet. Also, I am only seeing 2011 on Kasperskys website.

  3. Amazon buys in bulk. Also the 2011 key will work for the 2012 version of Kaspersky so you can keep your program up to date even if you have a almost year old key and a new version comes out you can have the latest version with no problem at all.

  4. The updates for me rarely take more than a minute. it depends on your internet connection but they aren't big downloads.

Ok. Sounds good. If I were to buy a full digital version, ( not an update) how long do those take?

And sorry to bother again but you said that a 2011 produc key would work with 2012. So would that mean theoretically I could buy 2011 and update to 2012 for free and use the same product key? And how come PURE only has one version?
