Hi, if you saw one of my questions a while back you may know that I might purchase a second computer. That computer would be a Gateway MT 6707. However I already have a Macbook Pro 13" 2010 which is a beast and dual booted so it's not that I need a PC for anything. I just want to know how else you think I could use this computer besides the initial reinstall vista and dual boot with linux. It does get kinda hot so I don't want it to be a server or on 24/7 incase that was your suggestion.

What I would recommend for starters would be to open it up and clean out as much dust as you can, apply new thermal paste on the CPU and GPU(If you can find it?), put in a reasonably sized SSD(120GB?), and then use it as a sidekick to your MBP.
Maybe when your MBP is busy with your games or other stuff that will make full use of your CPU/GPU, then you still wanna browse the web, then you could use the Gateway. Or keep it as a spare PC in case your MBP dies.

Well if not a sever. Then why not make it in a home theater center then if you still have any left over rca inputs or other connectors that you can hook the computer up to the tv. I could that happening there for you.
