Best HD Screen Recorder

1	For me, I use paid software (snagit) since I am recording Chris bloopers. But Jing and Microsoft's Expression encoder is good free alternative answered Aug 01 '11 at 14:34 kevin ♦♦ 35.7k●160●316●589

In my opinion, I think that CamStudio for Windows is quite good. As long as you have an HD screen resolution, it will record in HD.

On the Mac, I like the built-in screen recorder. It records in HD, but the frame rate low compared with others.

Whenever I tried to open the recorder after install it gives me an error saying "The Application has failed to start because its side-by-side configuration is incorrect. Please see the application event log or use the command-line sxstrace.exe tool for more detail." The post I read said to uninstall AVG but I don't have AVG installed.

That's strange... perhaps it is an antivirus/firewall problem. It works with McAfee protection.

I have MSE real-time on and Malwarebytes installed(with no real-time)
