I'm a Ubuntu 11.04 user, and I have grown quite fond of the overlay scrollbars. And like Chris, I think that normal scrollbars are hideous. I know that the overlay scrollbars only works with GTK apps, so things like Firefox still have scrollbars. Is there an add-on that allows me to remove scrollbars from Firefox 5?

It would be nice if there was also a similar solution for Mac OS X Lion and its overlay scrollbars.

It's the optics of the Lion scrollbars. They just don't work as scrollbars, but that's okay for me, because I always use the trackpad / mouse surface to scroll anyway.

Feel free to adjust it. It might be possible to scroll the contents using onDrag events on the fake scrollbars.
