It all started when I heard these headphones that were amplified in the store about 10 years ago from now. Man it felt like Subwoofers were by my ears. It was like $200 for the amplifier & not sure about the headphones. At the time I didn't really have any money to buy it. so some time passed, Then I got these ear buds if you were to push and hold them in your ears you'd get more bass but you needed to hole them in, It wasn't like sub bass like the amplified headphones. Then I got the Sony DJ Headphone for like $30, They just about looked like the amplified headphones that I seen 10 years ago. No they didn't give me the bass I was looking for, So i thought if i spend more money i would get better Sub Bass sound. I was looking around for some time, Then i saw the Sony DJ500, I was like whoa 1,000mW that's got to give me some Sub Bass. So I got it, No, didn't give me the bass i was looking for, sad to drop $100 on headphones. Sure, there loud enough to ring your ears. So a few years later & many headphones later. I asked the pros at HeadRoom of what i was looking for. They recommended a Amp for my Sony DJ500. I was close to getting a AirHead Amp, but i get a other kind of am off eBay. I tried the Mint Tin Amp, little difference in bass. So I seen this other Black amp with a red transparent face, It was better then the Mint Tin Amp. It did make headphones a little louder in sound. But still not in sub bass frequency. So I just gave up on looking for that bass in headphones for a few months. Then I ask HeadRoom where can I get 500w Subwoofer Bass? They recommended the Shure inner ear headphones that was like $600US! Well I didn't get it because the price. I did get the Ultimate Ears hi.fi EB headphones from eBay, They were good in bass but didn't go all the way in because they were so big & looked funny on me. Then they told me about these Sennheiser Cans that where $65US Not sure about the Model number but I think it had the word Bass on the Package. I wasn't that interested in them. I didn't to this day buy anything from HeadRoom but they were kind enough to help point me in the right direction on one headphone i was searching for the longest time. It is made by AKG, It's a small over the ear headphone. It was the AKG K26P that they recommended, good bass at the right price But looks cheap, It was only $50US for it & I was close to getting that one from them. But I got it for only $35US from eBay. Now these can give you 100w Like Sub Bass, The kind i was looking for in a headphone. It lasted a year I think tell the wire came out, so I got used one from eBay because I couldn't find any new ones. Oh man were they used up. My broken ones looked new compared to the used ones from eBay. So i when back to Headroom then they told me about the K414P that were just like the K26P. I payed a little more for the K414P on eBay, C$50 free ship. Yes it is just like the K26P headphone. Well I couldn't find any headphones i heard that were better then this for that price, So this one is a Keeper after 30+ headphones I had in my life. On my Dell M1530 with a few adjustments it's like 200w Sub bass!! I guess the sound Card is amplified on my Notebook, It sounds like them amplified headphones in the store about 10 years ago. But you'll get 100w like Bass on iPod's or other MP3 players. If you do had these kind of headphones, Let me know what you think? |
