Basically I am trying to find a way around for my friend to play League of Legends. The simple question is as stated above. Is it possible to play computer games, specifically League of Legends, through remote desktop?

I have tried, there are some that can but probably 99% cant be played.
for example, you can play second life using teamviewer, but you cant play a game like prototype as you cant as the delay and framerate is far too bad.

There will be a high ping because the game has to first go to the remote computer, resend those image packets to the computer remoting, then send the command to the remote computer, then back to the gaming server

you can, but you would be hampered by the program you use (because some lock the screen resolution and bit depth to work more efficiently) and you would be severely hampered by the upload speed of your connection.
the upload speed would make playing through a remote desktop very slow and choppy. if you had a very fast Internet connection with a decent upload speed it would probably work, but with current average speeds it's not likely to be playable.

I dont think they work. It won't be effective too. By the way I came through a website called playcomputergame.com. It was pretty cool and provides lots of free games. Just I wanted to share my happiness. :-)
