I have a hi end evga graphics card Im not sure but I think its a gtx 260 it has 3gbs of ram and can handle 2 monitors I would like to add some more and run SLI and the card I am locking at is the evga gtx 550 ti it has 2gbs of ram and i would like to beable to play games on 3 or more monitors and I am having a hard time finding the answers I need before i make a purchase. If this would not work then I would love some help finding a cheap way to make it work. |

Gtx 260 didn't come with 3 gigs of ram. They don't have to be the same but they need to be compatible! The 200's will pretty much only work with the 200's and you can buy them brand new from online. |

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814130433 this is the one that i have so can anyone recommend a good one for under $200. It is still selling here in the UK. Look at TigerDirect. even if they sstill sell it the problem that I run into is that it is very expensive no i looked and it says that all i need is something frrom the same 200 family so im looking for something inn ther that is goood and is around $200 so i can run SLI They are 150 GBPs here so that is around $200. but the problem is i need one in the 200 family meaning the gt200 to the gtx 295 any of the ones in-between that would work but finding a good one with 2 dvi ports is hard to find for around $200 |

I don't think they ever made a 260 with 3gb ram, but so long as you have 2 of the same cards (doesn't matter who makes it: EVGA, BFG, XFX, MSI, Zotac, etc.), so like, a 2 GTX 460's could SLI or 2/3 580's but remember that you need a motherboard that supports SLI, or it won't work either. |

I currently have an EVGA GTX 550 Ti and I do not like it at all. When playing games that can have higher FPS like minecraft it makes an high-pitched noise that is driving me crazy. In fact, I just placed an order for the EVGA GTX 460 SE SC for two reasons: 1) My friend has it and he has no such problem with it and 2) It was $99 after a $30 mail-in rebate. I don't recommend the 550. |
