Hey guys, I am interested in buying a camera, for mainly video but photos as well. A friend suggested a DSLR but i am open to other options. I have a rough budget of £1000 (about $1625) but can spend a bit more if necessary. My current choice is a Canon 600D but I imagine their are other suggestions so would like to hear them. Thanks for any advice/help you can give! Dom |

Would you want it to be more portable or something bulky such as a DSLR This camera is great it takes some great photos. http://store.sony.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?catalogId=10551&storeId=10151&langId=-1&productId=8198552921666290110 Email me at justin@sachoproductions.com and I can send you a few example, (says they are too big to upload) |

I have a Nikon D7000 and it is a great camera for photography and video. Your question is a little vague but that's my recommendation. |

If you want a STARTING camera, there's no reason to get a DSLR. If you didn't mind 2 separate cameras, you could get a good camcorder and a high end point and shoot if you wanted. If not, Nikon D7000, that Canon camera, or something from Panasonic. Panasonic is really good for video. |
