I have no personal experience, but my friend who is also very tech-savvy recommends them. I heard that they are great, quality built machines. |

I haven't heard of bad feedback from a relative of mine that has a Lenovo laptop. They are one of the best brands in the notebook industry. |

Lenovo should be a good company, some years ago they acquired the whole hardware division of BigBlue (IBM) and now produces Thinkpads that were previously branded IBM, but is still a chinese based company and I don't know if the quality and know-how of IBM is still there or has faded away |

My dad's company has given him ThinkPads for the past 10 years. His current one (2GB RAM, 2.0GHz C2D, WinXPPro32) is from right after Lenovo acquired the consumer division from Big Blue. It's an incredible computer. If I were to buy another PC, it would be a Lenovo for sure. I have a few friends who have similar ThinkPads for school, and the problem that they have is that Lenovo batteries are terrible. After two years, they're lucky to get 30 minutes out of their battery. Overall, Lenovos rock. |

i don't know from personal experience, but i'm gonna say no cause i don't know anyone that owns a lenovo for personal use, i believe they're primarily business user machines, like schools & small businesses, etc. |
