I live in Singapore and am considering getting an Ebook reader. However, I want to get a reader which comes with its own ebook store (such as the Kindle). However, from what I know, not all ebookstores are international - many are limited to America or certain countries. The only international ebookstore+reader I know of is Kobo. Any other suggestions?

In most cases it's the books themselves that have territorial restrictions, not the bookstore. So certain books may only be available to American customers, or to UK customers from the UK kindle store for example, but any ebooks with world rights will be available to anyone from whichever store you buy from. We distribute a large number of Australian ebooks through Amazon, Kobo, iBookstore, Overdrive (who power Waterstones and Booku amongst many others), Booki.sh (another Australian store) and they are all available globally regardless of which store you buy from or which reader you are using. Chapters/Indigo is also powered by the Kobo platform, as are the Angus & Robertson and Borders eBookstores in Australia.
