Hello I have a Toshiba Satellite L455 S500 (Celeron Version) and every time I install Windows on it won't boot after the next day. It freezes after login. Can anyone tell me how to fix it.

Is your hard drive dead or something?

Try doing a memory test. Download memtest 86 and make a bootable CD. Boot to the CD and let it run tests on your memory. http://www.memtest.org/

Sounds like a dodgy hard drive, that is unless you're trying to install Windows 7 on a laptop that's 10 years old, which I presume you're not. If you can, try running some HDD diagnostics.

What happens if you do a fresh install, and not install any programs.

if it still happens then you may want to replace the hard drive or run spinrite on it (some laptop harddrives will gain multiple unreliable sectors due to a wide range of issue with the most common being someone moving the laptop while it is on.

Spinrite can disable those bad sectors and recover any data it can and move it to good sectors.

The other issue (I encounter this every once in a while when someone sends me a computer to fix. They will tell me that reinstalling didn't fix their problem and the issue turned out that every time they reinstalled, they installed a malware program that suppose to change the look of the OS while also causing the problem that caused them to reinstall.
