Hello, I have a question for you guys, My grandpa need a new printer/scanner, and I am on the mission to find the perfect one for him. But I ran into some problems with this.

Here is what he wants:

  • Airprint compatible, his main PC is his iPad 2 (so were stuck at HP).
  • Printer/scanner combination.
  • Compact form factor.
  • Wireless.
  • To be able to scan to an usb flash drive or SD card (so sd or usb slot required, so he doesn't have to fire up his old slow laptop every time he wants to scan something).
  • affordable.
  • 2 ink cartridges instead of 4 (not required).

The problem I ran into is that HP doesn't say (on their website) if I can scan files onto an external drive, so my question would be, does anyone of you own an HP printer which has all these features? Or does anyone know the perfect printer for my grandpa?

You want a kodak printer. Kodak has the cheapest ink prices. You might pay a little bit more for the actual printer, but the ink cartridges are a third of the price of HP's. I have a kodak all-in-one wireless printer and am very satisfied with it.

Yes, but , his main pc is an iPad. So it has to have AirPrint. And honestly I don't think money is a problem. He just doesn't want to spend €250 on an HP envy printer. This one is €60, so its perfect, Thanks for your help though !!
