This is apparently a Q&A community for any topic, but I mostly see questions related to tech stuff. Can I ask health-related questions here, or should that be reserved for a similar site I found. This community has a lot of more users, so I would like to ask here, but a health question would seem totally out of place. Should I just stick to the other site I found? EDIT: Cool, I think the general consensus is that I should ask somewhere more suited to asking health questions. (Also my question had more to do with exercise tips than a serious medical issue, of course serious medical issues should be left for the doc! lol, thanks for all the feedback though :]) |

No. We are not certified medical professionals, and to protect the liabilities of the staff and members, we do not want any medical issues to be discussed here. It's for the safety of everyone, anyone could provide un-beneficial advice that could cause harm. So far, all the health questions that I have seen have been closed by a member of staff. |

You can ask health questions but this site shouldn't be your only stop for health related questions. As Tim said we aren't medical professionals in any way. You can certainly ask for our advice but make sure to talk to a certified professional as well. |

You can ask basic health questions here but I don't recommend asking complex questions as the advice we might give may not be the right solution to your problem and may cause you some injuries. |

I wouldn't ask nor would I recommend anyone ask them here. In most cases medical questions are best answered by a medical professional that you trust. |

yes you can ask anything on here, it's not reserved just for tech type questions. depending on the type of question, the answers are not going to be as good as a health professional could provide, any kind of forum that gives advice on health conditions should be taken with caution and researched yourself, it should only be used as a pointer, always research on medical conditions yourself on line, but the best as i said would be from a doctor or medical professional who would have a far more vast knowledge and diagnostic skill then any of us, and would be able to see the actual condition and take other factors into consideration. |
