I've noticed that lately my connection to our network has been a little slow. Youtube has taken much longer to load then usual. It never seems to drop connection but it runs fairly slow. My adapter is in a high area so position shouldn't be a problem. I was thinking it might have to do with my wireless rear speakers that came with my sound system that I bought this week. Is that an issue? If not do any of you have advice to get a better connection?

test it! connect to your router using the Ethernet ports, turn off your wireless. if speed improves then BOOM you find it to be a wireless issue. Also during that test phase go to speedtest.net and test from the closest and furthest point see how they compared to wifi connection.

wireless speakers shouldnt be using 2.4 or 5.8 spectrum or you would knock off cordless phones and wifi devices. Again test by turning off those speakers???

Now I don't know what was causing it since it randomly started to work good again but now I can load things without a problem. My speakers are still on and not much has changed. Probably the service provider(charter)

If ypur computer is wireless and the speakers are using the 2.4ghz single, an easy fix if your router supports it is to change the single to something a little higher.
