Setting Up Two Routers Through Out The House

Ok, so I have two of the same 2Wire ADSL routers that I want to setup around my house so that I can achieve a greater signal because the house is large and the wireless signal can't make it around the whole house. I have a phone line downstairs and up stairs that I can connect these routers to. Is this possible? If so, do I just plug them in and it should work all fine?
