When developing, what IDE and compilor do you use and why do you use that.

I used to use Code::Blocks until it stopped building.

I use Visual Studio 2010 Premium when developing applications. I use it because it is used to develop Microsoft applications. I am just learning how to use it so I don't use many of its features yet but I hope to learn.

I am the same way! I love how easy it is to use. Plus, you can make tons of different types of applications, and it integrates very well with my Microsoft server products.

I mostly do Web development so I really don't need an IDE, but I love to use Komodo Edit as it has a ton of great features and can look really sexy with the Aero add-on.

I generally use Visual Studio 2008 when developing, as it is quite easy to use, and yet it provides some advanced features. As I am still learning how to use it, I don't use many of it's features, but I plan to in the future.
