Ok, I am 14 years old (nearly 15) and I have a lot of body hair, like on my chest area, back, abdominal area, and bum. This is incredibly embarrassing and really lowers my self esteem. I would just like to know what's the best solution (preferably painless) of getting rid of this hair for long amounts of time? Also, it's quite embarrassing to bring the subject up in front of my parents (Hmm, I know what you're all thinking -_- 'Just tell them').

Does having legs, eyes, and arms lower your self esteem too? You're young and should get it in your head right now, if you're going to live your life worried about what other people think, you're going to have a tough life.

Maybe you have more hair than others, ok I get that but instead of doing something about it to make yourself "fit in", use it to your advantage to set yourself apart.

Come on when you act and look like everybody else, guess what, nobody is going to care or bother to remember who you are.

Or go ahead and shave it off like they shave sheep. Bahhh Bahhh. Do you wanna be a sheep or be an individual who is proud of who they are?

Bahh bahhh bahh!

that shouldn't be embarrassing to you. thst is natural in growing up. somebody have more somebody less, that is nature. for example i started shaving with 14.

Maturing at an early age does make things difficult with your friends. Most guys have a little bit all over. Some have smooth chests and abs while others have a visible "treasure trail". When you get older....those differences shouldn't bother you. Honestly, unless you look like Chewabacca most guys really won't notice. LOL

Waxing is more long term but it will irritate your skin and you'll need someone else to do this for you. That might make you even more embarrassed. You could trim away the larger amounts with a shaver designed to do that. I would recommend the BodyGroom by Philips. You can also get some "bleaching cream" designed to minimize the appearance of hair. It won't remove it but make it a much lighter color so it isn't as noticeable.

Anyway, good luck with it. In the long run you'll be better off just accepting what you have. There are only so many things you can change with yourself. I know you might think it sucks now....but when you get older, most guys WANT chest hair. LOL

Well you could get one of those long term hair removal products like No No! or possibly consider Electrolysis.

Generally, I put it this way, we either should have been born with hair completely covering our whole body (like most mammals) or just hair on our head, our eye brows and eye lashes. Personally I think body hair is gross, but for some reason some people like it.

Unless you are a girl, you really shouldn't be concerned. I have a classmate that had a steady beard in 8th grade. STUD!

You shouldn't try to change yourself for others, you are who you are, you shouldn't be embarrased. If you want to get rid of it then I suggest waxing or shaving it.

Just wait, in two years everyone will be making fun of kids without body hair. Just stick it out and be glad you're ahead of the pack.

You have nothing to be embarrassed about. It's only hair.
