Hi again guys, for about three months my toshiba satellite laptop hasnt been full screening properly (and has slowed down ): ) When i click full screen in games like gmod portal halflife and terraria, it just stays the same size and puts a black border round the edge, is there a solution for this problem? And nothing major has happend to the pc, although i have a disabled brother who might have gone on the laptop and started doing random things, I really dont know what could have happend.this happens in all games that i try to full screen.

I'm assuming that you are on Windows 7 correct? It might be a problem with a driver or maybe even the Steam software.

What's your graphics card? It might be just the scaling settings, which is easy to fix.

go into Ntune or Catalyst control center (depending on your card) and set the scaleing to 'fit to screen'

I got the solution at last. It's a graphics property issue. You will get the solution here
