So tomorrow I'm getting some new parts for my PC and therefore I want to re install windows 7 on it. I've done it countless times and everytime I've always wondered what to install first? Drivers? updates? programs? and so on. I've always gone with chipset drivers > GFX drivers > other drivers like keyboard, headphones etc. > anti-virus > connect to internet > windows updates > start installing programs.

should I do it in any order or change around on it somehow? I always download the newest drivers and put them on another HDD.

These days I plug in my ethernet cable and install Windows using Windows Update for some drivers. The 1st 4 pcs of software I install & update are on a thumb drive, MSE, Spybot S&D, Spyware Blaster & video card driver suite (ie; Catalyst or Forceware).I then install Office. At this point I go to Windows Update to update all MS software & remaining drivers.
