The nano does need a redesign or just go back to the last generation. They removed video playback (kind of a small screen for that anyway) and the camera so you can touch the screen for the same price. Way too costly for a 8GB player just because you can touch the screen. An iPod Touch makes sense to have a touch screen the nano hardly matters and are just doing it because they can.

Lion just came out and you already want a new version? They'd be better of waiting at least a year before starting development on the new OS, let alone think of new features.

A new, updated, less bloated version of iTunes would be nice!!!

The iPhone 5 needs the back to be like the iPad's, needs a bigger screen. iOS 5 NEEDS to come out already.

The iPod Nano needs to just stop trying to be a colorful chicken nugget with a touchscreen on it.

The iPod Classic needs to run on flash memory to make it more slim or the amount of storage needs to be improved. I mean do you really think 250GB of music is enough for me? I DON'T THINK SO! ;)

They assume 160GB is a good amount of storage, flash memory of any size would just make the iPod classic cost a fortune. They could increase the drive size for those who want it. I wonder how long until they try and phase the classic line out. Not a good idea to do that yet as those are the only real options with any real storage space without costing 400+.

They have to fix the nano, for Apple it just does not look very nice.

250 gb = what, about 70.000 songs, lets say you bought all of those songs... .... ....

(Sep 01 '11 at 11:09) N2505 N2505's gravatar image

Well for the next iPod Touch they need to upgrade the memory like this: 16 GB $229 or $199 64 GB $299 128 GB $399

And of course they should find ways to improve the battery life and fix the problem with persistent Wifi (or allow people to turn it off) that causes the battery to drain quicker.

Also they could allow people to buy versions of the iPod Touch that you can get prepaid 3G data from AT&T or Verizon like with the iPads.

They should bring back the old, better iPod Nano design

In iOS 5, or any future version they should enable FM radio (like the nano) since 2nd generation and above have the hardware to support it, or they could at least enable FM radio transmitter to transmit song from the iPod Touch to a regular FM radio.
