Need help with iTunes. Nothing will sync or backup on my iPad or iPhone. (Recently switched to Win7!) (NEED HELP ASAP)

I have an iPhone 3gs and I have a big problem. I can not sync anything to my phone. I have the latest version of iTunes and I can not seem to like get anything to sync and update on my phone. I connect my iPhone 3gs to iTunes and hit sync and it connects and does step one but then doesn't update anything. Is there something I can do to fix this problem. I need some help!!!

I FORGOT. I recently updated from Windows Vista to Windows 7 and I didn't save any app data! The only iTunes files I saved were the music files.

My Skype is Freakwithrobe and I'm looking for help ASAP because I start school Thursday and I need to update my phone for new apps and music.

(I can use TeamViewer and get help with this problem!!!)
