I am thinking about getting a Mac Computer, but I want to test out the Operating System before i spend the money one one. Does Anyone know if there is a way to "Test Drive" the Operating System on a Virtual Machine? All I need is a few hours to mess with the OS. Thanks!

Since you don't have an Apple Store near where you live, I'm sure you have a Best Buy near you. Just go to your local Best Buy and try one out.

VirtualBox has a preset for Mac OS X Server. I think I have found that with a Linux host at least I was able to get an unmodified Snow Leopard install working. I think you can at least run the Server version in a virtual machine legally because Oracle is a reputable company and would likely get sued if they were helping people break the EULA.

Or you can find a store that sells Macs and ask to try one out for a few hours. Maybe a friend would be willing to let you do it too.

Unfortunately, you cannot do it like that. Though you can go to a Apple store and test it there

You can't run it on VirtualBox? They have an option for it..

Yes, there are ways of running it on a virtual machine, or at least Snow Leopard, but we aren't allowed to tell you here, like Kevin said, because it violates Apple's EULA.

stupid EULA wont let you do what you want with your own hardware and software. anyways just go to your local computer store and test it. I dont suggest Apple store because its crowded and smells and people just dont leave and they stay there for hours and hours.
