I am thinking about getting a Mac Computer, but I want to test out the Operating System before i spend the money one one. Does Anyone know if there is a way to "Test Drive" the Operating System on a Virtual Machine? All I need is a few hours to mess with the OS. Thanks! |

Since you don't have an Apple Store near where you live, I'm sure you have a Best Buy near you. Just go to your local Best Buy and try one out. |

VirtualBox has a preset for Mac OS X Server. I think I have found that with a Linux host at least I was able to get an unmodified Snow Leopard install working. I think you can at least run the Server version in a virtual machine legally because Oracle is a reputable company and would likely get sued if they were helping people break the EULA. Or you can find a store that sells Macs and ask to try one out for a few hours. Maybe a friend would be willing to let you do it too. |

Yes, there are ways of running it on a virtual machine, or at least Snow Leopard, but we aren't allowed to tell you here, like Kevin said, because it violates Apple's EULA. |

stupid EULA wont let you do what you want with your own hardware and software. anyways just go to your local computer store and test it. I dont suggest Apple store because its crowded and smells and people just dont leave and they stay there for hours and hours. |
