The Geoforce GTX 550Ti is a very popular low budget card. From the AMD side I'd go with something like AMD HD6950 Simply because you can unlock it to a HD6990. Both cards go at about 150€ depending on the vendor and country. Don't buy a card from an older serie just because it's cheaper. Go woth the AMD HD6xxx series or the nvidia GTX 5xx series. the series range from 100€ budget cards to 1000€ hyper cards. i know this will sound weird, but will my systemsupport it? i think cause my motherboard is a little bit old and i don't know their's capabilities yes it will. Your mobo has a pciE slot, it's not 2.0 but they are backwards compatible. You just won't get the maximum performance. Just like with your SSD, SATAII is not fast enough for newer SSDs. thank you. you helped me a lot. just one more thing, what do you think how much would i get on performance with GTX550Ti? I would say that every game currently availible will at least be playable with it. Games like Starcraft 2 and WoW it will handle on max settings. BF3 maybe medium. It depends heavily on your resolution. I've seen it handle Crysis on max on a 1080p monitor. So it's a pretty powerful card nontheless. Great, cause i have a lot of video editing to do and i have also 1080p display, and that combination makes my computer "blink" :) I'm pretty sure you can use both cards I recommended to boost your encoding speed.

buying the 550Ti will be a huge waste of money unless you are going to upgrade ur mobo/cpu/ram within 2011. U will get the same performance from the 550ti as you would from much lower end cards thus not using the full potential of the 550ti. |
