Do you watch in 360p, 480p, 720p or 1080p (when ever either is available)? I rarely watch in 1080p because it takes so long to load and I can't quite see the 1080p because my monitor is 1680x1050. So I watch at 720p when I can but normally stick to 360p when I can because its faster.

I use as high quality as is available. My network connection is fast enough to handle it and all my devices are powerful enough (with the right screen size as well) to handle either 1080P or 720P (and lower of-course)

I use 360p most of the time. I only use 480p, 720p, or 1080p when I'm watching a video that intrigues me.

720p (in Youtube, 720p and 1080p are identical because the encoding sucks)

There is a big difference between 720P and 1080P even on Youtube. You probably don't have a big screen or strong enough graphics card to see any difference.

I have 3 1080P 21.5inch monitors and a 50 inch tv (1080p). The 3 monitors are connected to a i7 gtx570 sli setup and the tv to a i5 gtx 275. So no it's not my computer or monitor. There is only a slight to no difference dippending on the video. There is no "big" difference. YouTube encoding sucks, period.

The only thing you will notice is that screencasts recorded in native 1080p will be sharper than 720p and overall it looks a bit clearer, but often 1080p is not worth that extra hike in bandwidth.

1080p if exists, otherwise the highest resolution available. My broadband can handle that bit rate more than well.. Can't say the same at my mum's house though -.- can hardly get 240p to work >.<'

360p should be good in most cases. Don't try going to 480p without going to fullscreen first. It creates a tiling effect.
