I've been playing minecraft on my normal computer, and it's been fine, except It get's pretty laggy. I have set.the fog to the highest possible and now I get no lag, but now I can barely see arround me which makes the game barely playable. Does any one have more tips on how to speed up the game? (also this is my 100th question!)

You should get the OptiFIne Mod, I also have a slow PC so I tried this and it worked, you just have to play around with the new settings a bit and then it should run faster ( I play on Highest Settings now :D ) here is the link to the Mod in minecraftforums.net : http://www.minecraftforum.net/topic/249637-173-optifine-hd-g-fps-boost/

The only way to speed it up at that point would be to close anything else running on the computer, maybe update drivers or Java. But other than that you might need a new computer.

It should run fine on a modern computer with these settings. My laptop has average specs and runs it fine with no lag. Just tweak these settings until you get it right.

It's your graphics processor. Almost any CPU from 2004 up runs Minecraft just fine, I know this from experience. However, you will need at LEAST 1GB of RAM, preferably two. As for graphics cards, ditch Intel. Intel's GPUs struggle with gaming, and Minecraft is no exception. I would recommend going with an ATI Radeon HD Mobile GPU for your laptop. Some laptops allow you to change GPUs, others require changing the motherboard for one with satisfactory chips.

Worst case scenario, but probably most likely, you're going to need a new laptop. You can get either an AMD or Intel CPU but stay away from Sempron/Celeron CPUs, because these are the least powerful, and (at least in the case of Intel) use bad graphics chipsets. Try to get a laptop with a GeForce or AMD chipset. Personally, I prefer Radeon graphics, but nVidia chips are equally capable. Aim for Radeon HD 3xxx, 4xxx, 5xxx or 6xxx graphics, or GeForce 9400GT(or higher), GTS or GTX series work as well.

If you are on Windows set the task priority to realtime in the taskmanager.
