Have you heard that if YOU fight back to a bully or when someone tries to hurt you that YOU'LL get in as much trouble as the bully? Doesn't that seem ridiculous? I don't encourage violence but if anyone where to hurt me, I would fight back. Despite what the school system says. They're taking the easy way out by punishing everyone. Including the victim. For those if you with kids, wouldn't you like them to know how to stand up for themselves if they're hurt by someone and not be punished for it? The school system is becoming more corrupt each day...

When I was in school I had this a lot.

I did it for self defence.

I got into a lot of trouble and I had to be excluded from everyone.

I was put into a room and left there for 6 hours for 3 weeks.

Well, I did not go and I went to class.

They dragged me out WITH FORCE!

They even called the police.

I did not even retaliate to the teachers and they called the police to get me off the school grounds.

I even asked the head if someone came up to her and was about to stab her, What would she do? She had nothing to say.....

Schools need to change their way of dealing with people.

I believe that people should be allowed to defend themselves if someone physically hurts them, even if that means the victim having to get violent with the bully. The victim should never be penalized in a situation of that nature.

Zero tolerance would be fair if schools were smart and installed security cameras to check and see what happened.

No, not fair. My schools little policy thing in our assignment notebook says that self defense is acceptable.

When I was in school, years ago, we were allowed to defend ourselves, which I did on rare occasions. In my younger years I got grief from teachers and some parents but my parents stood up for me, unlike today's parents. When I was in my teens I had a few run ins with other stupid students and I made sure they understood that they were getting what they asked for before I physically corrected their thinking. After I physically corrected them I proceeded to go to the principals office and report the correction and thus when the other, corrected student, tried to lie to the principal they got the bad end of the deal there too. I taught my son to defend himself well and he has since prevented a store robbery by disabling a knife wielding robber that was holding up the store clerk. A job well done! In school a student still has the right to defend themself but must be sure they are right and then do it well and report the incident asap.

I know someone that taught their son they have every right to defend themself regardless of what they school says and he told the school that. Of course he told him to try to walk away if possible if not he had his dad's okay to do what was needed.
