OK, so I managed to fix my Ubuntu problem by popping in a Dell restore DVD and repairing Windows, and several things happened apparently. It gave me a truly depressing error that said Windows has recovered from a serious error (which is good but what was the serious error??) Anyway, that's not the question. The question is what is status? Windows insists on installing it but it needs a CD, DVD, floppy, something to install it. I have no idea what it is and it keeps making my floppy drive turn on, and it keeps bringing up a windows installer window, which annoys me. Anyway, below is a picture of what keeps popping up:

So, yeah if you could help that would be nice :) Also while I'm here, how do I uninstall Ubuntu from my external hard drive?!

Do you have a HP printer? That's what the topic seems to be on google... Go into msconfig via run and disable HP services one by one to find out the one thats causing this.

You should be able to download the software from hp website if you can't find the CD with the model number.

I don't know what status is unfortunately. However to uninstall Ubuntu (much as the fanboy in me doesn't want to see rhat, simply use your favorite partition editor, and delete the ext4 partition, then migrate the empty space to the existing partition. After that run an MBR repair from within Windows. Then your done.

Pizzscn, it should be listed in your Control Panel > Programs and Features. Just do a normal uninstall on it by clicking it (or double-clicking, if that's how you have your 'puter set up).
