I run a small Minecraft server . And i am migrating from permissions plugin to PermissionsEx . I was hoping someone might be able to help me understand it a little bit better. I understand Yaml files and the config files that come with PermissionsEX. My confusion Lies in that i don't get the compatibly layer with old plugins that don't directly support the new permissions system.

Take Signlift or Lockette or any older plugin . When i put it on the server PermissionsEX compatibly layer kicks in . Which is nice that way the plugins think they have the old permissions .

But how do i set the permissions for the old plugins ? Where do i put them ? Can i even set permissions on the old plugins? Is the compatibly just for make the plugin think that it has Permissions?

Thanks for any help you can give me If i can get this working it will me the world to me . =D
