I am thinking of getting this Blu-ray player purely for the Star Wars Blu-ray edition, but does it sound good?

Also, does it work with 2D TVs?

Leading brands such as Samsung, LG, Sony, and Panasonic are all great brands when it comes to Blu-ray players. But the definition of "Good" only lies in personal preference of what you want to see in a device. Also another thing that will help you is looking at the rating. 3+ stars usually indicate its good to use. Generally the higher the better. According to a lot of my sources online this is getting 4 Stars which indicate it is good.

It will work. I believe most have a setting to play in 3D and 2D. Plus 3D only works with that specified type of disk. If you haven't noticed yet they sell 3D and 2D versions of things. But sadly that raises the price on an already 20+ dollar disk. I believe they sell those for like 30. But anyway, yes that should work and yes, its a good manufacture.

For that price I recommend getting a Sony.
