Is it possible for me to install Windows 8 onto either a flash drive, or even a CD? Pretty simple question haha :D |

If you mean instead of the hard drive then certainly not to a CD due to the size requirements of 16gb+, nor is it designed to be installed to removeable media such as USB storage. If you mean as a way of installing on a system that does not have a dvd drive then it should be possible to install it from a sufficient capacity usb flash or other drive. http://www.ghacks.net/2011/09/14/how-to-install-windows-8-from-usb-key/ describes how to use a microsoft tool which allowed the process with windows 7, but equally can be used with windows 8. |

The short answer is no. Microsoft doesn't allow any of their operating systems to run from a "flash / jump" drive due to licensing regulations. You can however run it from a VM, and you can have VirtualBox running from a flash drive. |
