Note: to new and users with low karma, this post is not for you, it is a OSQA bug and telling it is fine wont get you anything or anywhere. It seems to affect users with large ammount of content they posted.

Suggested: 15K+ karma with 1,500 answers and more than 50 questions.

Ok now we got that situated.

Is it just me or is that when you are on this site with a large amount of content you posted (questions/answers/comment), the site is really slow compared to going to this site and not logging in. I have tried refreshing the cache and still slow. I also ran this site in an incognito mode and still when I am not logged in, it is fast and when I am logged in, it is dreadfully slow.

Is anyone having the same issue.

Have you heard anything about a possible way to fix this issue. The slow down gets annoying when looking at several questions or answering a question because it takes so long.

There is no possible way except contacting the developers to fix a load balance issue

Was fixed earlier, and looks like it is back

I have to say that I did notice that it was extremely slow however, I never equated that it could be the large amount of content. I just tried it not logged in and it was at least twice as fast. So, yes I have the same issue as you do. I can't even imagine the the slowness with more stuff on the site.

I find it a little slow, and that was even before I got to the rating I have now. I too put it down to the fact that there is a lot of content on the site, but it could be down to what I have posted, although I have not been nearlly as active recently as I was in the past. I have just tried accessing the site whilst logged out, and it is noticeably faster. I guess it is a site issue, since multiple high karma users appear to have the issue, and it's certainly not my connection, I know that's quick and works just fine 99.9% of the time.

Lockergnome.net has always felt sluggish to navigate, but I can understand why, but there is a difference between when I am logged in and when I am not.

I know that I have no where near as much karma as the above commenters but I do know my way around databases. I expect that it's to do with the way OSQA stores it's data in the database because, even with tens of thousands of rows, a website shouldn't slow down all that much, it may be to do with the increasing amount of traffic that Lockergnome.net has been getting although I highly doubt that as, from you've described, it sounds like it's just the database querying that is slow.

I don't know what the database is querying that would make it run so slowly for you guys but, if someone had the time, they could isolate the problem and fix it.
