Hey guys,

Recently, I am facing this problem with my iPhone. Well, it is not on my iPhone but the sync/charge cable. Ok so. Whenever I connect my iPhone to my computer via the cable, my iPhone will only charge. Previously, I use to charge my iPhone with my dad's laptop. I still won't work but after some adjusting and tweaking to the cable, it will work. What I mean by adjusting is to just move the wire around. But now on my computer, it only charges. My iTunes will not detect my iPhone as well as my computer.

Is there anyway of fixing this problem or is the problem on my cable or computer or iPhone.

Note: The adapter which came with the iPhone will not working as well...

Please help me...

Sounds like a faulty cable. You should set up a repair with Apple )if it's still under warranty) at Set up a Repair.

Otherwise, you will need to purchase a new cable. In the UK it costs £10 so it will probably be about $10-$15 for a new cable from the Apple Store.

Bear in mind, you can buy OFFICIAL Apple components/cables etc much cheaper from any other site like Amazon or eBay. Just check it is an official Apple part before buying.

If you bring your phone and the cable in (make sure you bring both) to your local apple store they sometimes replace it free. Otherwise in the US its 19.99. Dont know international pricing.

Find your store here http://www.apple.com/buy/locator/

The cable is online here http://store.apple.com/us/product/MA591G/B?fnode=MTY1NDAzOQ

Defiantly sounds like a faulty cable.
