I upgraded to Lion when it came out and I've been patient. The bugs are really bothering me, my battery life is half what it was, and my memory is always full. Several of my favorite apps are messed up and I'm tired of it. I love the concept of Lion and all the new features but for now I want my Leopard back. It's on most of my time capsule back-ups, so my question is, can I just restore on time machine to a point before I installed Lion? I'm not worried about losing Lion because I made a backup USB drive, but I don't want to go through all of the file transferring nd B.S. Please tell me the easiest way to put Snow Leopard back. THANKS! |

Check out this link. I am not a Macintosh user but the process seems simple enough if you backed up using time machine before installing Lion. http://cyrilmazur.com/2011/07/downgrade-mac-osx-lion-time-machine.html For the LockerGnome op's out there, I am not trying to advertise. I just found this article and thought it would be helpful. Thanks for the link man, that is really what I was trying to avoid. I really appreciate the effort though. Many thanks |

On my MBP 2010. I did a SMC reset:
Shut down the computer.
Plug in the MagSafe power adapter to a power source, connecting it to the Mac if its not already connected.
On the built-in keyboard, press the (left side) Shift-Control-Option keys and the power button at the same time.
Release all the keys and the power button at the same time.
Press the power button to turn on the computer. Then a PRAM reset: Shut down the computer. Locate the following keys on the keyboard: Command, Option, P, and R. You will need to hold these keys down simultaneously in step 4. Turn on the computer. Press and hold the Command-Option-P-R keys. You must press this key combination before the gray screen appears. Hold the keys down until the computer restarts and you hear the startup sound for the second time. Release the keys. http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1379 Then i repaired disk permissions: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2963?viewlocale=en_US And now my 2010 MPB is back to around 6-7 hours of battery. And at most at idle up to 13 hours battery. Good luck. |
