Hi, Currently i have a D-Link DI-524. Im not sure if its a good router because the signal goes down often and when a device is connected near the router everything else thats far away but still connected to the router doesnt actually have internet access. Bottom line, what specifications are important when buying a good router? For me its important to support at least 5 devices and to transmit a strong internet signal even when other devices are connected near the router. Thanks! :) |

Well netgear is the best brand for routers out there so yours could be damaged, old, or could be a wireless card problem in your computer. I would test my wireless card first to see if that's the probem, if it isn't then repair or try the new Netgear N900 |

I have the DLink DIR-655 at home and even installed it in my bosses home. Me and my boss have never had issues with signal quality or connection drops. Though I will say this with my bosses laptop, it would not connect proberly when I first setup the router, but it turned out Intel had released an update for the wireless adapter which after installing fixed all issues, so I would definatly go to your wireless manufacturers website first. The interface is one of the easiest I have found to use yet still has many features you can choose to configure (Virtual Server, Port forwarding, Guest wireless network). With my Wireless N laptop I push 100- 110 Mbps easily. |

Well, I know Huawei B970 is a good one , it is a combination of modem & router, supports more than 10 users at the same time.
