Tag has a feature called Real Time Location included in the solution that allows anyone that creates a Tag deliver different content to whoever scans a Tag based on where the scan from. I'd love to get some great ideas on how to use the feature to do something that creates some buzz. Here's a post on how to use the feature along with a Tag that will retrieve a Bing maps result depending on where you scan from. http://tag.microsoft.com/community/blog/t/how_to_real_time_location.aspx Thanks in advance for your help! Maybe an ARG for an upcoming game. The "players" could be sent a message that includes the Tag and it brings up a map with directions to another clue or a prize. 1
That would be awesome. There was a concept done that was similar to that idea: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RLuAdS8G2c4 I think Tag could be used to scan and find out who the "Hitman" is. What do you think? Nick |

I had a new idea on this topic pop into my head the other night. What if, you could use infrared light or the shadows created by them to make the Tags? Some sort of contest to find the hidden Tag. You would have to find the Tag using your phone (And this would be incredibly easy for people who have WP7s because the Bing search reads them automatically) or similar device since people cannot see the IR beams. Not sure if Tags would work in this case since they use colors to create them but QR codes would almost definitely work. You could use colored paper scraps or some other materials for the MS Tags on whatever surface the beam is aimed at I suppose. |
