I just recently purchased an iPad 2. I would really like to have an office app on my iPad. I searched on iTunes but didn't really find any that looked reliable. The price of the app doesn't really bother me.
I know that they have LogMeIn apps that I could try out if I was really concerned about quality, but my main focus is to be able to work on projects anywhere; WiFi connection or not. The main applications I want in the app would be capabilities with Word, PowerPoint, and Excel. I would want to be able to create new documents and edit old ones. The app would need to be compatible on the iPad. The app would need to have some sort of capabilities that I could put office files I've made on my iPad to my computer, and put files I've made on my computer onto my iPad, whether that be by E-Mail, USB, etc.
My main focus is to hear comments on what you guys have downloaded so that you may give me feedback, positive or negative. I would like to hear some recommendations of certain apps so I may look them up.

Look up "pages", "numbers", and "keynote" in the app store. Those are appa made by apple and they work great. The whole suite costs $30 though.

I use Apple iWork on my iPod and it works very well. There is also an Version for iPad. It does all what you want. And it costs all together 25 USD I think. I hope I could help you. And sorry for my bad english i`m german :D

Just like everyone else, the three "office" apps that Apple makes, are called Pages, Numbers, and Keynote. Apple supports those three applications through all of their platforms, and I personally think that some of them are better than their Microsoft equivalent.
Pages is Apple's equivalent to Word.
Numbers is Apple's equivalent to Excel.
Keynote is Apple's equivalent to PowerPoint.
Each of them are $9.99 (USD) each, and I personally think that Keynote gives you the most for your money.

Ok. On the Pages, Numbers, and Keynote apps, is there a way to extract files I've made on my iPad and put them on my computer? And vice versa, is there a way to put office files on my iPad that still need work from my computer?
