so, here I have a laptop w/ Synaptics touchpad, and upgraded it's driver to Scrybe Gesture suite 1.0 maybe a year ago.

then yesterday when I checked their website, i saw that it's 1.6.4 already and there are updates there that I really wish to have

So I downloaded and installed the new driver package.

But here's the problem:

the three finger tap to activate scrybe no longer works when in fact, it worked with Scrybe 1.0!
With 1.6.4 I now sadly have to press ctrl+shift+tap which is very not-cool and in-efficient.

the new driver however, is working fine and in fact perfectly which maybe means that the only problem is with the Scrybe app.

anybody here who has the same problem / knows how to fix this? links , how-to's, pictures would be very much appreciated.
thanks!

after some google search I Fixed this issue but with compromise.

  1. I Updated scrybe to the latest version
  2. Open Device Manager
  3. Updated the Synaptics Driver using Microsoft
  4. Restart PC.
  5. now working.

Problem:

Driver has switched back (roll back) to default manufacturer version. and because of this:
1. the options to adjust the changes in the new Driver are no longer editable (does not show itself in the UI.
2. I edited my preference before I did step 3. above, and the settings i;ve set are still working, but I cannot edit it.
3. Functions working (but not modifiable after this fix) are:
a. 3-finger flick.
b. 2-finger scroll
c. advanced palm-detection guard
d. Pivot rotate

If anybody here knows a better solution, please post here. thanks.

FOR EVERYONE'S GUIDANCE.....

*cheers
