So my iPod Touch 2G I suspect is dead, in the morning while I was getting ready to leave for school, I accidentally walked with the cable still connected to the USB port in the back of my cable box. I didn't notice until 2 seconds later that my cable was connected. "No matter", I said. I disconnected it and went on my way. During the trip to school, I tried to unlock my iPod and it gave me the dredded "White Screen of Death" and I tried to restart it by doing Power and Home button, and It didn't work. Doing a restore in DFU mode and Restore mode still didn't work as the screen didn't even turn on at the restore mode when its supposed to give you a status bar and the Apple sign. I tried everything, except leaving the iPod to die, which is hard because it was at 100%. Can anyone give me any insight on what to do? |

3 years old? Wow, I would say you are lucky to have it last that long. Do me a favor. Go to YouTube and type in, "Dead iPod Song". The video will be by RhettandLink. This will explain everything about your dead iPod. Enjoy and sorry your iPod has finally had the doom seed germinate. ;) My dad's OG iPod Classic 10GB is still rocking, even from 2001. I used to have a water damaged 2nd gen that lasted until I sold it. So about 2 years. 1
It was just a joke that they did and I thought it would be funny to put in here. Everyone needs a good laugh. Welp, okay, lmfao. @josephLtech My sister has a 3rd gen that was 2 days old that fell in the pool. It just stopped working about a month ago. It lasted her about 2 years. |

How old is your iPod?
It's a 2G so it's been 3 years now.
