Antivirus for windows vista

I run windows vista (perfectly fine) and i was looking into getting a anti-virus program that does not hog system resources, also I will not take one that pops notifications up in my face every 4.5 seconds. I am currently using AVG (Free version). Also I use my PC for gaming normally so if it comes with a firewall I would like to have that easily modified.

I like Microsoft Security Essentials. I don't know if it's compatible with Vista however.

It's free & It doesn't seem to bog down my computer. It also doesn't seem to interfere with games nor web browsing which is nice.

It's not speed I need this PC is fast enough, seriously Vista works fine if you fine tune it to your liking.

yep vista is fine, but your PC can do MUCH BETTER if it is windows 7. anyway, it's up to you, that's your money. @timothys let's just answer the question man.

and yes, my answer is Microsoft Security Essentials too. you can search all over the web for benchmarks like resource consumption, effectivity, false positives, pop-ups. , pricing. all of them are Aced by MS Security Essentials.
